Hoses, Tubes and Clips: A hose is a flexible hollow tube designed to carry fluids from one location to another. Hoses are also sometimes called pipes (the word pipe usually refers to a rigid tube, whereas a hose is usually a flexible one), or more generally tubing. The shape of a hose is usually cylindrical (having a circular cross section). Hose design is based on a combination of application and performance. Common factors are size, pressure rating, weight, length, straight hose or coil hose, and chemical compatibility. Hoses are made from one or a combination of many different materials. Applications mostly use nylon, polyurethane, polyethylene, PVC, or synthetic or natural rubbers, based on the environment and pressure rating needed. In recent years, hoses can also be manufactured from special grades of polyethylene (LDPE and especially LLDPE). Other hose materials include PTFE (Teflon), stainless steel and other metals.
Hose Clip is a circular metal band or strip combined with a worm gear fixed to one end. It is designed to hold a soft, pliable hose onto a rigid circular pipe, or sometimes a solid spigot, of smaller diameter. Hose Clips are generally made of stainless steel or galvanized or electro-plated steel. We offer world famous brand from England and Thailand in Galvanized plated steel and 304/316 Stainless Steel. ORBIT HD is a hose clip designed for heavy duty applications which require high tightening torque, and reinforced hose such as are found in irrigation, drainage and hydraulic systems. The specially designed hexagon head screw allows tightening with an ordinary spanner or socket wrench. The band is raised in order to prevent damage to the hose surface and it has 3 point spot welding. It is designed to allow flexible installation and can be mounted without disconnecting the hose. The ORBIT Heavy Duty Hose Clip (OB-HD) is available in W2 and W4.
Glass tubes are hollow pieces of borosilicate or flint glass used primarily as laboratory glassware. Glass tubing is commercially available in various thicknesses and lengths. Glass tubing is frequently attached to rubber stoppers. & Perspex (acrylic)Tubes. We offer wide range of Glass and Acrylic Tubes from England.
